U.S. weekly hotel revenue measure rises 6.8 pct

U.S. hotels posted a 6.8 percent increase in room revenue for the week ended Oct. 21 versus a year ago, Smith Travel Research said on Wednesday.
Occupancy fell 0.4 percentage points to 70.3 percent, while room rates rose 7.2 percent to an average of $101.73 a night, according to Smith, which tracks lodging industry data.
