Belize resort celebrates 10th anniversary

Travellers heading to Belize this fall can now take advantage of four all-inclusive packages introduced at The Inn at Robert’s Grove as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

Available through Dec. 15, they include round-trip local air fare from Belize International Airport to Placencia airstrip, local ground transfer from Placencia to the resort, daily breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner, and local beer, rum and tropical drinks.

The resort’s “Romance Getaway Package” features an Oceanview Deluxe suite, candlelight dinner on the pier, massage treatments for two, an evening cruise to watch the sunset over the Mayan mountains, snorkelling trip with picnic lunch, a trip to the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve and a waterfall swim.

The seven-day, six-night package costs $4,200 (U.S.) per couple.

Other themes include “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Learn to Dive” and the “Best of Belize Adventure” package, which includes one day/night on a private island.

The Inn at Robert’s Grove is a full-service 52-room luxury resort with two restaurants, PADI Dive & Snorkel Center, Fly Fishing Shop and Sea Spa.

HALIFAX YEAR-ROUND: Porter Airlines will offer Halifax service year-round after the completion of its summer program on Sept. 4.

The extended schedule features weekend flights between Halifax and Ottawa with continuing service to Toronto (City Centre Airport).

There will be one TCCA-Ottawa-Halifax flight Friday evening, with a return flight Saturday morning. Sunday features one round-trip flight.

DINING WITH T-REX: Coming soon to Downtown Disney at Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort is “T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure, A Place to Eat, Shop, Explore and Discover” where visitors can have dinner among dinosaurs. The restaurant, which will open later this year, combines table-service dining and retail in an interactive prehistoric environment built around water, fire and ice.
