Condos are being built across Marquette. And real estate professionals say that investing in a condo may not be such a bad idea. Compared to homeownership, the market values are similar.

According to Northern Michigan Land Brokers, condo sales have gone from a few hundred-thousand dollars, a couple of years ago, to now selling for as much as a half-million dollars.

Some believe that condos are a safe investment and the way condominium sales are right now, they will only continue to appreciate in value.
