As reported by the Press Enterprise: “Early designs for a 400-room, 10-story hotel to replace the Spa Resort Casino Hotel in Palm Springs were displayed Tuesday morning for downtown merchants.

“The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians showed the small crowd at the monthly Main Street Palm Springs board meeting drawings of a crescent-shaped hotel facing Indian Canyon Drive near downtown.

“It would include a 2,000-seat performance venue and a pedestrian corridor that could link downtown Palm Springs and the convention center…”
