Aqua names two Waikiki hotel executives
June 6th, 2007 - Category: HotelAqua Hotels & Resorts has named Alvida Surpia general manager of the 80-room Aqua Coconut Plaza, the company said Monday.
Most recently general manager of Aqua Bamboo & Spa, Surpia will oversee overall operations of the property including its upcoming renovation process.
Prior to joining Aqua, Surpia held management positions with Ala Moana Hotel and King George Hotel in San Francisco.
The company also announced Monday that Courtnay Koski had been named hotel manager of the Aloha Surf.
Koski comes from Hersha Hospitality in Boston where she was director of sales. She previous worked in Hawaii for Starwood.
Koski received her degree in travel industry management from the University of Hawaii.
Dawn Sakaue, another UH alumna, has been named guest services manager of the Aqua Palms after working as a manager at the W Honolulu Diamond Head Hotel.
Joy Adler-Jewitt, a former night manager at the Aqua Bamboo, has left a desk manager job at The Kahala Resort to return to Aqua as manager of spa operations.
