Grand Rotana Resort & Spa, Sharm El Sheikh, named DEPA Best Middle East and North Africa Resort of the Year 2007

The Grand Rotana Resort & Spa Sharm El Sheikh has triumphed as ‘Best Middle East & North Africa Resort of the Year’ at the DEPA Hotel Awards beating 26 participants although it has been open for less than 2 years.

The awards, attributed by live ‘Interactive Voting System’, were presented during a glittering ceremony at Dubai’s Grand Hyatt and attended by more than 750 people from the international hotel and tourism sector. For their sixth year, the DEPA Middle East Hotel Awards are designed to recognize and reward outstanding service, performance and creativity by the region’s hoteliers and hospitality professionals.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Karim El Ghazzawi General Manager of the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa was very glad to mention: ‘ It is a great honor that our efforts since opening in late 2005 were recognized by this prestigious award as Best Middle East & North Africa Resort of the Year.

He also added: ‘All along the way, the management team has put together targets in its mission statement, by which the Resort is driven: creativity, service and commitment with special focus on the following areas: the Dining Experience, the Children Activities & Facilities, the Zen Spa with its diverse therapies and ambiance and Tailor Made Conferences and Events….
