The century-old West Baden Springs Hotel is set to have its grand reopening in two weeks.

The hotel has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation in conjunction with development of the nearby French Lick casino.

The hotel’s opening is planned for May 23rd, about a week and a half ahead of schedule.

The six-story tall landmark was built in 1902 and closed as a hotel in 1934.

Almost all the hotel’s 246 guest rooms are refurbished, with modern updates such as flat-panel TVs and wireless Internet access.

The Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana has planned a June 23 black-tie gala at the hotel to honor Bill and Gayle Cook of Bloomington, who invested millions of dollars in the project.
