Three disadvantaged families in Hawaii are experiencing culture shock, but aren’t complaining.

They’ve made a sudden move into the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Dorie-Ann and her five daughters greeted their benefactor outside the nearly $5 million Oahu mansion that will now be their home.

Japanese real estate mogul Genshiro Kawamoto is opening eight of his mansions in an upscale Hawaiian neighborhood to low-income Hawaiian allowing them to live in luxury for 10 years rent-free.

The homes are thousands of square feet with marble floors and Jacuzzi bathtubs. The tenants will only be responsible for paying their .utility bills.

Dorie-Ann, who had been living in a homeless shelter, was overcome with emotion as she accepted the ribbon-wrapped keys:

Kawamoto is one of Japan’s richest men and in the past has been criticized for evicting tenants on short notice in order to take advantage of rising real estate prices.

Asked whether he was concerned about losing on this good will gesture, he said, “It’s pocket money for me.”

Dorie-Ann, a single working mother, could not stop hugging her benefactor.

She moves into her new home on Sunday.

Kawamoto also gave each family ten $100 bills to help them move in.
