The United States Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against the owners and manager of a Lancaster County apartment complex.

The lawsuit claims that Barrcrest Manor on Marietta Pike refused to rent an apartment to a visually impaired individual who uses a guide dog. If the claim is true, it would likely be a violation of the Fair Housing Act.

The lawsuit is asking for civil and financial penalties.
