Five Arizona hotels will be sold for six-point-six billion dollars, making it one of the largest hotel sales this decade.

CNL Hotels & Resorts Inc. of Orlando, Fla., announced Friday that Morgan Stanley Real Estate of New York is buying the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa and J-W Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix.

The Biltmore opened in February 1929. The JW Marriott Desert Ridge, the biggest and one the newest in Arizona, opened in 2002.

Meanwhile, Ashford Hospitality Trust is going after the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort.

Several big resorts have changed hands in metro Phoenix just in the past year.

They include the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa and the Pointe South Mountain Resort.
