Grand Sierra Resort turns on bigger, brighter sign

A new and brighter $2 million sign is shining outside the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, replacing the former Reno Hilton’s marquee and bringing what a casino official calls one of the largest signs of its kind in the world.

Vinacapital invests US $130 billion in sea resort and golf course

Chairman of Da Nang city in the central region Tran Van Minh on December 28 presented an investment licence to the Vinacapital fund for the construction of a sea resort and a golf course.

Taos’ Fechin Inn to become time share resort

Santa Fe developer Joe Schepps has sold Taos’ Fechin Inn to a national firm that plans to convert it into a time share resort.
Fechin Inn manager Joy Barr says the inn will close Tuesday.

The Yorkshire Hotel is taken over

The Yorkshire Hotel, Harrogate, formerly owned by stricken Swallow Hotels has been acquired by Folio Hotels, for an undisclosed sum. All 50 jobs will be unaffected.
Now Folio Hotels plans to invest a “substantial amount” in rejuvenating the five-storey 80-bedroom hotel over the next few months.
